Gordon Mifsud is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the UK which qualification he obtained in 1979. He is also a fellow of the Malta Institute of Accountants and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
He is fluent in Maltese, English and Italian.
Gordon is currently the Managing Director for International Management Services LTD set-up in 1985.
Gordon Mifsud’s early life
He initially practiced with a leading Maltese audit firm until 1982 following which he joined the international audit firm Coopers & Lybrand (today Pricewaterhouse Coopers) in Milan.
The Italian experience lasted nine years during which extensive experience was gained in auditing large US, UK and Italian firms including multinational companies. He was also assigned for a period of two years to the United Nations World Food Programme. This assignment involved the development of procedures for handling international emergencies and covered the famine crises in Ethiopia, Sudan and Chad as well as the Afghan refugee crises in Pakistan.
Gordon’s current activities
He has been advising international clients on tax planning for the past 20 years and holds directorship in companies within various groups including subsidiaries of quoted companies.
At present, Gordon is also the President of the Hockey Association Malta.
